Haven is set in the Forgotten Realms campaign setting as published by Wizards of the Coast, as is all the Neverwinter Nights and Baldur's Gate series.

Please be mindful to at least not disrupt this illusion.

Fanciful departures from the basic character templates, races and backgrounds are not exactly encouraged, but allowed with DM approval. Highly recommended that you start with something reasonably first and get to know the server before requesting something off the wall.

As the NWNHaven server is meant more for social roleplay rather than PvP or CvC, careful consideration of extreme character attitudes might be in order. Awful good paladins with no capabilities of seeing the grays between the black and white can have as a difficult time as a rabid Orc who can't not battle every elf he sees. The Kingdom of Haven has slavery and shelters Drow and the occasional odd demon or devil, even though it considers itself a goodly place. See also the redflag of abolitionist revolts and movements.

CvC is allowed and not everyone has to be enlightenedly tolerant all the time, but the capability of restraint for self-preservation needs to be there.
