Day 3 in the Kingdom of Haven
It has been three days in total since I arrived on the dock in the city of Sharessia. I had hoped that, upon arriving, I would find a culturally diverse city brimming to the top with strange, foreign and immense knowledge. What I have found, in that regard, is slightly disappointing. The people of Sharessia seem to take the worship of the referenced Goddess quite seriously, to the point most tend to ignore the search of knowledge altogether. While this is foreboding to me, I cannot help but feel content with my choice in this destination.
Already, I have made numerous friends. Two in particular stand out; an older, highly intelligent and peculiarly social-able drowess, and a young woman that seems to have taken up a very special place in my heart. I feel myself compelled to spend as much time with these friends as I can, in particular my new... crush, I suppose is the word. Like a divine wind, her soul has washed over me, filling my heart with such joys that I have never felt in my short time alive on this world. The sight of her steals my breath and locks my muscles in place. To hear her voice is to bear witness to the beautiful songs of ancient elves, to feel her touch is to grasp longingly for that peace that so many wish to obtain, yet few ever will. I dare say that I have fallen in love, though never would I reveal such to her for fear it may cause harm to our blossoming relationship.
Alas, though I came to this place for the pursuit of ever-increasing knowledge, it appears I will stay for something far less practical, but infinitely more pleasing. I do so enjoy this place.
