If you are performing ERP, and your character has a child, i do not care about what your philosophy is. You do not have the child with you during ERP. If you are near erp and are rping carrying a child or whatever, you immediately leave the area. This is starting to become an issue.
You get one warning, if you ignore it you either loose all rights to RPing having a child with you or are banned. No discussion. I do not want to have to have this issue come up even one more time.

Thank you for clearing this up. I've been worried and wondering about this.

Would this include infants?

Just head-desks.

Anyone under the age of 18 is a child. This includes infants.......

Maybe that should be cleared and included in the rules, that characters under age 18, children, include infants... as if babies witnessing ERP wasn't nasty enough. :S

Basically...you can have babies, sure. Just leave them at home, or keep them in safe RP environments if you're out RPing.

Not never, ever, under any circumstance should any character or "NPC child/baby" be even within a mile radius of an ERP act. Keep the two things separate at all costs. If you even have to ask, the answer should default to no.

And that's why all my characters' offspring just aren't in Haven at all...

Here's an uncommonly sensible guideline for kids and infants:

If you want to RP a character with a nurturing streak best expressed through loving and devoted parenting, great.

If you feel that having a kid can further your desires to explore pain, suffering and other forms of angst then you're a misguided numpty.

Generalized, yes. But a reasonable litmus test in my view.

Pretty much accurate summary of the case at hand here already so not much to add besides... folks, why would you even want to roleplay having a child with you in ERP situations in the first place?? Puzzled

Not that it's an issue for me, none of my toons will be having offspring in the near future but, my question about infants was asked more because it would disturb me more to hear that an infant was left unattended because ooc "we arn't allowed to have a baby in a cradle on the other side of the room while we get our ERP on".

I think maybe the solution is that "if you have to ask" or "it's become an issue" means maybe you shouldn't be caring for children to begin with.

Original post was simple. I'll simplify it more:

____
No underage characters roleplayed by anybody for any reason in any manner at any time and in any capacity while on Haven. Roleplaying the presence of underage characters neatly falls into this category.
____

Locking thread. Really no room for debate or discussion here. No wiggle room.
